I've been writing on the subject of gays in the military for some time now, for reasons unclear to me still because I really have nothing invested in the subject other than the interests of a citizen.

I've felt alone, at least on my side of the room - which, I freely acknowledge, is quite often the Right side - in my criticisms of the ban on service by those who are gay.

Perhaps I've been too cloistered, because now, it seems, others - including some powerful voices in the milblog community - are joining in, and saying pretty much what I've been saying.

Let's get past this nonsense, once and for all.
