Not sure I know why, but it is a personal favorite.

It sings to me.

Late twentieth century - 1992 - Scottish artist, impossibly romantic setting, the red dress and the umbrellas.

I found it online quite by accident - I had forgotten the title of the painting, and the little I knew of its provenance - and then, in a different context, there it was.

And now . . .
