Possibly . . . not.

On our last April-in-Paris jaunt, we took this photograph out on the deck of our pied-à-terre on the Avenue St. Germain, directly across that famous street from the National Assembly.

My, aren't we the sophisticates, and don't you wish you could be us?

I recall that, on the occasion, we made no reference to Hitler's famous inquiry about the state of the French capitol city, so that's how sophisticated we are and were, the question being so familiar to us that it was unnecessary to mention it.

Again, don't you wish you could be us?

But because you simply can't be us . . .

The photograph will have to do.
