I'm taking medication - off-label use, as most usage is these days - to ease lifelong back pain.

And it works.

But a possible side effect is said to be depression, even suicidal, or strange and unusual, thoughts.

Dave may be on the same meds.

His work product today doesn't help a whole lot, either him or me.

A long-time friend offered the thought that as long as he has known me, I have had strange and/or unusual thoughts, and I guess I have to plead guilty to that.

So, like, how do I know what may be the cause of them . . .
