Seven women participated in the National Organization for Women's day of protest against Rush Limbaugh in front of Limbaugh's D.C. affiliate WMAL, Friday.

NOW's national protest day had been in the works since April 19, when the women’s advocacy group launched their "Enough Rush" campaign.

Pairing with media watchdog Media Matters for America NOW is targeting local affiliates and local advertisers, Friday's demonstration was touted as the group's big demonstration of opposition to Limbaugh with affiliates across the country participating in protests.

I'm going to guess that there were more than seven media people there, feeling pretty stupid even if the protesters weren't.

But yes, that's only a guess, about the media representation and the lack of feelings of stupidity of the protesters, too.

An incident proving, yet again, that when it comes to these sorts of national movements of protest ginned up for the media's consumption, there's unlikely to be any Rush to judgment.

Sorry about that.

And, um, is it, like, wholly inappropriate for me to think, even for a moment, that the spokesperson for NOW is a bit of a fox herself, perhaps even worth consideration as a possible sex object in any other circumstances, once her silly politics were set aside and not, then, an issue affecting the exercise?

Not that I'd ever think such a thing, you understand, but . . .
