Turns out, I didn't even want him to be dealing with the nation's business during any of the other hours of the day or night, even fresh from the golf course.

But 53% of the electorate thought he was up to the challenges of the office - not that they had anything in the way of evidence of his ability to do so - and voted to give him the chance to show what he could do.
