Another triumph for the Nanny State:

Given the provenance of the Pink Slime story - and oh, how the news people liked that two-word description - perhaps it should have been called, instead, Green Slime.

But apparently there's only so much truth that can be reported about such matters because of the chance that any consumer with an IQ over 50 will understand how it's full of sound and fury - and don't forget the slime - but signifies absolutely nothing.

Still, a small bit of the pleasure of biting into a good hamburger will inevitably have been lost, and that, indeed, was the purpose of the campaign of the do-gooders.

The point.
